An exposure bracket records the same composition at several brightness levels. Keep the camera and scene still so every frame describes the same room.
Before the first frame
- Mount the camera securely and finish the composition.
- Use a fixed aperture, focus point, and white balance.
- Ask people to stay clear until the whole sequence is complete.
Check the sequence
Review the darkest frame for window and fixture detail. Review the brightest frame for clean shadow information. Add another frame when either end of the range is clipped.
Keep each bracket together and in capture order when preparing files.
